New Koi Fish!!

The Cove at Fairview is happy to announce the arrival of 20 new Koi Fish. These Koi are different colors – red/white, blue, orange and tricolor. Their fins are standard and butterfly.

Koi are naturally bottom feeders. Once the water temperature warms up a little more, we (and our guests) will train the Koi Fish to come to the surface for a feeding.

New Bench at Koi Pond!

New Bench at Koi Pond!

We have a new bench at Koi Pond! Danny and a helper built this sturdy bench. This large bench has seating for 4-5. What a great place to sit and enjoying feeding our Koi Fish or simply to enjoy the relaxing sound of our fountain. This is one of several places on our property to enjoy the peacefulness of nature!

Azaleas in Bloom!!

One of our favorite spring blooms are Azaleas. Seen here are the Azaleas in front of “Our House.” These Azaleas bloom 3 times a year (Spring, Summer, Fall). We also have Flame Azaleas, a native plant to the area, on our property. We find Spring in the Mountains to be a time of great beauty and renewal. We are happy to share the beauty of Spring with our guests!

Metal Glider

Our House porch now features an antique metal glider. This glider is approximately 70 years old and came from Frank’s childhood home. (Frank is co-owner and manager of The Cove at Fairview). We have ground off two coats of paint and polyurethaned this piece of furniture. This antique has a contemporary flair, blending tradition with modern. Frank has many great memories of sitting on the glider and we hope you will as well!

New Furniture at “Our House”

We have recently added some lovely new furniture to “Our House.” The one cushion sofa is turquoise and is perfect for napping. The two chairs have stripes of turquoise embedded in stripes of muted grays. The area rug has a turquoise and brown design, accenting both the new furniture and our handmade wormy chestnut furniture.

Aerial View!!

Please enjoy this aerial view of a piece of The Cove at Fairview that was taken by a drone. On the bottom left is the barn, on the middle right is My Roundette, above that is the Garden Cabin, and on the top right is Our House. My Place (not pictured) is just up the mountain. These homes are nestled in our lovely mountain cove!

More than what we were hoping for!

“I organized this weekend get-away for 9 ladies with the focus being a tour of the Biltmore Estate all decorated for Christmas. The challenge was finding a house that would accommodate us. OUR HOUSE was MORE than what I was hoping for! Everything we needed and then some. We truly did not want to leave and I know there are plans in the works for a return visit to check out the other cabins on the property.”

Well-suited to All Our Needs, and More

“We had a wonderful time at the Cove. Your service was perfect, the place is incredibly beautiful and well-suited to all our needs, and more. We had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had (and that’s aside from the fact of it being the wedding week). Your assistance with the rehearsal dinner details was invaluable and we are very grateful. It went very smoothly, and everyone who attended commented about what a perfect place it was for that event. In addition, Our House was perfect for the guests we had over the week – several coming and going – and we were able to give them privacy and comfort. The use of the other two houses made it very nice to be able to have a “home base” for the wedding week, and they both seemed also very pleased with the accommodations and service….Pat and Bob”

Outdoor Fireplace!

“My favorite feature of “Our House” was the outdoor fireplace and rocking chairs. . .  That will be my favorite memory of this girl’s weekend – sitting around the fire and talking and laughing late into the night.  Thanks for all of your hospitality.”

Perfect for Girls Getaway!

“We can’t thank you enough for your amazing hospitality.  “Our House” was the perfect get-away for our annual girls’ weekend.  We appreciated the detailed tour of the grounds and the cabin upon our arrival and the wonderful surprise of fresh bread and eggs! The cabin is beautiful and immaculately kept and the hot tub and common areas provided the perfect ambiance for our stay.  We really enjoyed feeding the koi, chickens, and horses too! We look forward very much to staying with you again!”
