The host was kind and informative, and gave excellent local recommendations. The property is quaint and peaceful and the fresh farm eggs were wonderful! We adventured 30 min away and rode horses through the National Forest at Saddle Up, enjoyed local meats, cheeses, sandwiches and smoothies at Trout Lily, and found an amazing blues band at the Local Joint. Awesome area and so much to do! Highly recommend!
The property is absolutely amazing. The host was available, flexible and very kind. The views are stunning and the animals were so fun. We will definitely be back next time we travel to Asheville!
The Cove at Fairview is happy to announce the arrival of 20 new Koi Fish. These Koi are different colors – red/white, blue, orange and tricolor. Their fins are standard and butterfly.
Koi are naturally bottom feeders. Once the water temperature warms up a little more, we (and our guests) will train the Koi Fish to come to the surface for a feeding.
New Bench at Koi Pond!
We have a new bench at Koi Pond! Danny and a helper built this sturdy bench. This large bench has seating for 4-5. What a great place to sit and enjoying feeding our Koi Fish or simply to enjoy the relaxing sound of our fountain. This is one of several places on our property to enjoy the peacefulness of nature!
We have just painted the exterior of My Roundette, the barn, and the chicken coop. The new color, Homestead Brown, has a rustic feel. These buildings truly blend in with the mountains. We are excited to share our updated facilities with our guests.
We have been making improvements at the Etta Garden! Shown here is Frank taking a much needed break and his brother Harry hard at work. Harry visits us from Raleigh several times a year and is awesome at landscaping. The Cove at Fairview appreciates his work!
Prepare to be enchanted! “My Roundette” features a semi-private garden that is nothing less than magical. Tall Phlox, Roses, and Comfrey captivate the eye. Emerald Green Arborvitaes, a Purple Leaf Plum, and a Fig Tree provide shade and privacy. The garden is surrounded by a wigwam fence made from Locust Wood. Enjoy the beauty of this garden while sitting on a red metal bench.
“We decided at the last minute to drive to Asheville from Clermont Florida to spend the Christmas weekend with our daughter. The “Roundette” was wonderful! How lucky to find a place like this! It was cozy, clean and perfect for my husband and I. Our daughter lived 20 minutes away so it was convenient for her and all the activities we did during our stay. We loved the ambiance of the hobby farm, fresh bread, homegrown eggs, goats and horses. They even had Christmas lights on the trees. We used the hot tub, had a bonfire, stargazed, shopped, hiked and relaxed. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a great Christmas Eve feast. Thank you, Danny, Frank and your family for a wonderful stay. “
