Momento House café is a new coffee shop conveniently located in nearby Reynolds. The open atmosphere makes this coffee shop a great place to catch up with friends and family. There is also outdoor seating overlooking a creek.
Momento features specialty coffee drinks and several choices of desserts as well as made to order sandwiches. Shown here is Etta’s avocado toast which was delicious. Frank recommends the ham and swiss croissant.
We ate at the historic Pisgah Inn which originally opened in 1919. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the dining room or the outdoor rocking chairs. The Pisgah Inn is located on the Parkway and is well worth the 45-minute drive from our property. There are several hikes close to the Pisgah Inn – including Graveyard Fields.
Seen here is Etta’s meal of the Tempeh Wrap Special. Marietta had a Chicken Pot Pie and Farris had a Fried Chicken Sandwich. We all enjoyed our meal.

Pack’s Tavern is one of our favorite restaurants! This restored tavern is in the Historical Hayes and Hopson Building. It dates back to 1907. Pack’s Tavern showcases the original character of the building.
Shown here is Marietta’s order of Brisket Mac-n-Cheese. This is their #1 Best Seller. Etta loves the Fried Fish and Frank loves the Reuban.
Pack’s Tavern is located in downtown Asheville and is an excellent addition to a day of sightseeing downtown.
Terramonga (formerly Troyer’s) has amazing deli sandwiches and delicious baked goods. Frank’s favorite is the tasty Reuban and Etta loves the wonderful oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. This family-run business also sells fresh, local vegetables and meats. We recently had an enjoyable family meal with their chicken, squash, and new potatoes. We look forward to many more great meals made with their fresh vegetables and meats!
Named for the pit boss’s Grandmother Lue, Luella’s Bar-B-Que is an awesome stop for BBQ, Ribs and more. Marietta enjoyed the Burnt end Brisket sandwich and Etta enjoyed the Smiling Hara BBQ tempeh sandwich. Frank always enjoys Eastern North Carolina BBQ. Visit Luella’s North Asheville location to dine in or to get catering for a lovely meal in your rental home.
We got lunch from Trout Lily today. Farris got a pimento cheese bacon sandwich cooked by the grill, Frank an excellent burger cooked to order, and Etta a premade container Of Charleston Chicken Sandwich. We also got smoothies -one mango and mint, one banana and chocolate.

Fresh Seafood stand Friday and Sunday (until sold out).
We often enjoy buying fresh organic produce from a nearby produce stand. Flying Cloud features bouquets of freshly cut flowers as well as a variety of fresh produce. Around the stand is two fields of vegetables and flowers. This produce stand uses the honor system for payment and accepts Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check.
We enjoy ordering food from nearby food trucks. Turgua Brewery and Whistle Hop Brewery frequently feature a food truck and the food is a great complement to a locally brewed beer. Shown here is Sabora Food Truck at Turgua Brewery. Sabora is one of our favorite food trucks. Marietta loves their Traditional Burger.
Another food truck option, El Tapatio, always has great Mexican Food. Farris highly recommends the chicken con queso and Frank enjoys getting the beef tacos.

Root Cause Farm is a local organization that grows organic produce for the hungry on a one acre farm. Frank and Etta were able to view the garden at a recent festival. They were struck by how beautiful and bountiful the garden was. This volunteer-driven farm does a great service for the local community and The Cove at Fairview is glad to have contributed a monetary donation!
We all have our favorite dish at Piazza. My dad and I favor wood fired pizza, my sister loves the pasta, and my mom likes a delicious sub.
