Terramonga (formerly Troyer’s) has amazing deli sandwiches and delicious baked goods. Frank’s favorite is the tasty Reuban and Etta loves the wonderful oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. This family-run business also sells fresh, local vegetables and meats. We recently had an enjoyable family meal with their chicken, squash, and new potatoes. We look forward to many more great meals made with their fresh vegetables and meats!
Named for the pit boss’s Grandmother Lue, Luella’s Bar-B-Que is an awesome stop for BBQ, Ribs and more. Marietta enjoyed the Burnt end Brisket sandwich and Etta enjoyed the Smiling Hara BBQ tempeh sandwich. Frank always enjoys Eastern North Carolina BBQ. We got lunch from Trout Lily today. Farris got a pimento cheese bacon sandwich cooked by the grill, Frank an excellent burger cooked to order, and Etta a premade container Of Charleston Chicken Sandwich. We also got smoothies -one mango and mint, one banana and chocolate.

We often enjoy buying fresh organic produce from a nearby produce stand. Flying Cloud features bouquets of freshly cut flowers as well as a variety of fresh produce. Around the stand is two fields of vegetables and flowers. This produce stand uses the honor system for payment and accepts Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check.
We enjoy ordering food from nearby food trucks. Turgua Brewery and Whistle Hop Brewery frequently feature a food truck and the food is a great complement to a locally brewed beer. Shown here is Sabora Food Truck at Turgua Brewery. Sabora is one of our favorite food trucks. Marietta loves their Traditional Burger.
Another food truck option, El Tapatio, always has great Mexican Food. Farris highly recommends the chicken con queso and Frank enjoys getting the beef tacos.

Root Cause Farm is a local organization that grows organic produce for the hungry on a one acre farm. Frank and Etta were able to view the garden at a recent festival. They were struck by how beautiful and bountiful the garden was. This volunteer-driven farm does a great service for the local community and The Cove at Fairview is glad to have contributed a monetary donation!
We all have our favorite dish at Piazza. My dad and I favor wood fired pizza, my sister loves the pasta, and my mom likes a delicious sub. Smokey and the Pig has some of the best ribs in the Asheville Area. We also love the sweet potato crunch – we get that at least twice a week. Smokey and the Pig is also a great place to get catering from. This Fairview restaurant is positively involved in the local community in a way that inspires us! Enjoy some authentic Southern cooking!

We have eaten at Early Girl Eatery many times over the years and every meal has been delicious. Shown here is a Black Bean and Cheddar Omelet, one of our favorite dishes any time of the day. Early Girl is a farm to table restaurant which means they buy many ingredients from local farms and emphasize seasonal food. They have 3 convenient locations but we love eating at the downtown location which has a great view of Pritchard Park.
Troyer’s Amish Store features a wide selection of fresh deli meats and cheeses. We love their Smoked Tavern Turkey, and we definitely buy their Amish Butter Cheese at least once a week. In addition to fresh deli meats and cheeses, they also offer made-to-order deli sandwiches, baked goods, party trays, gift baskets, and more. Troyer’s Amish Store is located just 1 mile from The Cove at Fairview.
