Root Cause Farm is a local organization that grows organic produce for the hungry on a one acre farm. Frank and Etta were able to view the garden at a recent festival. They were struck by how beautiful and bountiful the garden was. This volunteer-driven farm does a great service for the local community and The Cove at Fairview is glad to have contributed a monetary donation!

Wilson Farm!!

Wilson Farm is a local family farm that offers great produce at their farm store. Last week we had a squash casserole made from squash they grew locally. It was delicious! This week they are selling farm fresh tomatoes and green beans as well as an assortment of other veggies. We can’t wait for the farm fresh okra to come in later this summer!

We all have our favorite dish at Piazza. My dad and I favor wood fired pizza, my sister loves the pasta, and my mom likes a delicious sub. Smokey and the Pig has some of the best ribs in the Asheville Area. We also love the sweet potato crunch – we get that at least twice a week. Smokey and the Pig is also a great place to get catering from. This Fairview restaurant is positively involved in the local community in a way that inspires us! Enjoy some authentic Southern cooking!

Early Girl Eatery!!

We have eaten at Early Girl Eatery many times over the years and every meal has been delicious. Shown here is a Black Bean and Cheddar Omelet, one of our favorite dishes any time of the day. Early Girl is a farm to table restaurant which means they buy many ingredients from local farms and emphasize seasonal food. They have 3 convenient locations but we love eating at the downtown location which has a great view of Pritchard Park.

Many of our guests celebrate meaningful milestones while staying with us. Honeymoons, anniversaries, reunions, and of course birthdays are some of these occasions. This month we celebrated two birthdays – Haley turning 4 and Frank turning 71. We celebrated with a cake (shown here) from Rise Above and it was delicious! Rise Above is a coffee shop and bakery in Fairview. Check out their homemade bread, made to order deli sandwiches, and scrumptious desserts!
